BUILDING A NEW HOME

This is a detailed account of our experience building a dream house. Hopefully, it will chronicle our daily or at least weekly experiences with the project. We are not building it ourselves, but instead hired a builder to handle that part of the stress. This is our labor of love and we give thanks to God for blessing us with the opportunity to do it.

I also have a very deep and sincere commitment to the aid, love and support of hurting, impoverised, and/or underprivelaged children here and abroad. I spend much of my resources trying to be a blessing to many of those children in the world. If you are interested in helping please let me know. I am very interested in business issues as I own 2 companies. I am highly ambitious and driven. I love new homes, and interior design. I'm an admitted shopaholic. I've been singing since I was a small child and have an infinite love for music.

PAINT/GRANITE/APPLIANCES/BSMT.

We're getting really close to finish.

ARRIVED

Granite counters - Finally arrived.

Light fixtures: Almost all installed.

Stair case: Except for the white spindles haven't been put in yet - that's really needed because they are bright white and they contrast real well with the stain on the staircase).

Appliances: Have all arived. As of yesterday they were still being put in. I couldn't get a good shot of the kitchen with all the work going on.

Painting: Painting in the whole house is complete, except for the basement now.

Basement: Has all it's lights in all the rooms, drywall, and paint prime.

NOT DONE

At this point, the hdwd. floors have to be sanded and glossed, carpet, tile backsplash in the kitchen, seamless glass shower door and columns in msbth need to be finished. Also, they have started to put in the vessel sinks but not done yet. Mirrors are needed in all the baths along with faucets and toilets. Still waiting on new front doors. Intercom system finished on Monday. But hopefully, we will make our end of the month deadline still.
